The Boy Scouts of America are today kicking off the first day of summer with their annual Marsh Cookout on the Circle in downtown Indianapolis. Proceeds from the event will be used to send more than 700 scouts to Cub Scout and Boy Scout summer camp.
Marsh Supermarkets join the Boy Scouts of America as they fire up their grills at the 16th annual Marsh Cookout on the Circle. An expected 4,000 Hoosiers will venture to Monument Circle to enjoy a summer lunch, and to raise over $30,000 to help send 700 less fortunate Scouts to Cub Scout and Boy Scout summer camp.
Scouts benefiting from the program will be on hand along with several media celebrities and state representatives to serve guests their lunch. Registration materials will be available for any adults or children interested in learning more about the Scouting movement.
